Prince Charles, born Charles Philip Arthur George on 14 November 1948, also enjoys the positions of the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, as well as the Duke of Cornwall in South West England, among other honors.
Before we get to the quotes, you may be interested to read that Prince Charles is, in fact, the longest-serving heir to the throne in British history, having been so since 1952.
Having married Lady Diana Spencer 1981, Charles has two sons, Prince William,Prince Henry, and one grandson, Prince George, with another royal baby on the way soon.
Prince Charles quotes are possibly the most quintessentially British thing in the world:-
1.ON IDEAS
I know that my ideas are sometimes portrayed as old-fashioned. Well, they may be. But what I am concerned about are the things that are timeless regardless of the age that we live in. Also, I have been around long enough to see what were at the time thought of as old-fashioned ideas now come into vogue.
2.ON LANGUAGE
If English is spoken in heaven … God undoubtedly employs Cranmer as his speechwriter. The angels of the lesser ministries probably use the language of the New English Bible and the Alternative Service Book for internal memos.
3.ON SCIENCE
Science has tried to assume a monopoly – or, rather, a tyranny – over our understanding of the world around us … We are only now beginning to under the disastrous results of this outlook.
4.ON TIME
Surely the time has come to escape from an almost adolescent obsession with being “modern” – the product, perhaps, of a 20th century “teenage crisis”? – and, instead, to be more concerned about being “human”!
5.ON MODERN MEDICINE
I would suggest that the whole imposing edifice of modern medicine, for all its breathtaking successes, is like the celebrated Tower of Pisa, slightly off balance.
6.ON RELATIONSHIPS
Relationships with fathers can be such complex ones … So often, I suppose one must long to have got on better or to have been able to talk freely about the things that matter deeply, but one was too inhibited to discuss.
7.ON TROUBLE
The trouble is I always feel that unless I rush about doing things and trying to help furiously I will not (and the monarchy will not) be seen to be relevant and I will be considered a mere playboy!
8.ON HOPE
I hope you receive this before some frightful undercover agent stabs me in the left buttock with a poisoned umbrella!
9.ON HESITATION
I have not the slightest hesitation in making the observation that much of British management doesn’t seem to understand the importance of the human factor.
10.ON HIS THOUGHT
I thought the British people were supposed to be compassionate. I don’t see much of it.
