Most sports stars begin their career as a nobody, reach the peak of their careers and then slowly fade into oblivion as new and better sportspersons emerge. It is true that though players enjoy great fan following during the course of their career we seldom remember them after they retire no matter how good they were. It takes something extraordinary to create an impression both on and off the field. The person who we are talking about here is more concerned about the boxing ring rather than the field. He is Cassius Marcellus Clay Junior better known as Muhammad Ali.
One of the most successful heavyweight boxers of all time his sporting accolades are plenty. He is the only three time lineal heavyweight champion till date. Some of his famous fights took place against Joe Frazier, Sonny Liston and George Foreman. Off the field he set an example for racial pride amongst African Americans and resisted the racial domination by the white Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. Though controversial, Ali was an inspirational figure on and off the field. Here are some of his most enriching words to motivate all of us.
